My name is Casey Kelley. I am a twenty year old graphic designer currently residing in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I currently attend Pittsburgh Technical Institute, pursuing an Associates Degree in Graphic Design. I will graduate in July 2007 and hope to go on to successful career doing what I love.
I love graphic design. It is everywhere. From the paper cup that holds your morning double-shot-mocha-grande-whatever, the billboards you pass while on your way to work, the signs welcoming you into your favorite baseball team's ballpark… someone, somewhere designed that. I love admiring these things and seeing what makes them great, what makes them weak, and just appreciate the characteristics of the design in general. If I happen to pass something that catches my eye, I instinctively want to know more about it: how it was made, the production process behind it, why did they decide to go with that direction, and so on.
I'm in love with this field. I live and breathe graphic design. Something like a paper sample book or a PANTONE swatch pallette wouldn't mean much to most people, but I love just perusing them, looking for the perfect paper for a project or the perfect color to convey the message of the project.
